Privacy
Short version: we don’t track you, we don’t set advertising or analytics cookies, and there are no forms that collect your details.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies. The only cookie we use is a session cookie for the site owner when signing in to the private admin area at /admin/; visitors never receive it.
Analytics and tracking
We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracking scripts. All fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to anyone else.
Server logs
Like any website, our web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use them to profile visitors.
Links to other sites
Links to retailers and manufacturers go through our own /go/ address before forwarding you. We count clicks per link (the date, which link and which of our pages it was on) — no personal data is stored. Once you arrive at another site, such as Amazon.co.uk, its own privacy policy and cookies apply. Amazon uses cookies to attribute purchases to our affiliate account.
Forms
The machine filters, the compare page and the laser-or-3D-printer chooser work entirely from the web address — nothing you choose is stored. There are no sign-up, comment or contact forms; if you email us, we use your email only to reply.
Videos
If we show a YouTube video, nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, the video plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) service and YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
